Optimisation and upgrading of nail salon:
Space planning, interior fitting and custom design
Nail Office wanted an optimisation and upgrading of their premises on Strandvejen in Hellerup – including interior design, display panels and lighting.
The main concept was to improve the space utilisation. Chairs and tables placed in the middle of the room with cabeling on the floor, the salon appeared disorganised and cluttered. Furthermore, it also made circulation difficult for customers and staff.
Larsens Tegnestue formulated a workspace utilisation strategy. We designed en manicure station with integrated lowering and raising mechanisms. The electrical installations were embedded in the 6 inches thick wall, we installed in the entire room.
Likewise, the general lighting – a functional pleasantly diffused light distribution, was embedded in the new wall.
We also designed a reception desk and a pedicure station with integrated installations identical to those of the manicure stations. The use surfaces of the reception desk, the pedicure and manicure stations are made from Corian, a material highly suitable for a nail salon. Corian is also unexpectedly warm and soft to the touch.
The upgrading of the salon provided space to accommodate an extra manicure station in the frontroom and an extra pedicure station in the backroom.
Not only did our project provide an organised appearance and optimal circulation, but also a general optimisation of functionality, working conditions and customer experience.
